Sonderwell hires globally for UK care jobs, realising that care is universal.

There are opportunities across our live in care, home care and complex care services and we’d love to welcome applications internationally that meet our eligibility criteria.

Sonderwell’s international sponsorship eligibility criteria:

  • At least 4 years professional experience within complex care
  • A relevant healthcare qualification
  • A valid driving licence
  • A valid TB test
  • Valid police clearance from your home country
  • IELTS test reflecting a UKVI number with all categories scoring of 4 and more
  • A valid passport with more than 5 years validity

Sonderwell’s application process for international applicants

There are many intricacies when you decide to relocate for your career in care and Sonderwell is here to support you at every step of the process. Here’s what you can expect if you’re considering a move to the UK for jobs in care.

  • Applicants are required to submit their CV confirming the above eligibility criteria
  • Following the screening process, a video interview will be arranged
  • Following a successful video interview, supporting documentation is requested along with a completed sponsorship visa form and company application form
  • Applicants are invited to join an assessment day in their region, depending on submission of the correct documentation
  • Successful completion of the assessment day results in relevant documentation being processed and an offer letter issued within 2 weeks
  • On acceptance of the offer letter, applicants must complete the COS and Biometric interview process which can take up to 4-6 weeks
  • This is followed by a decision letter from the Home
  • Office which can take an additional 5-7 days
  • On receipt of the decision letter, applications are able to collect their passport and visa and have 28 days to enter the UK

Sonderwell’s application process for international applicants

Applicants relocating to the UK for a career in care are fully supported by the Sonderwell team with travel and training provided.

  • Training dates will be issued and flights to Birmingham co-ordinated
  • Airport collections to transfer you to accommodation
  • Shared accommodation during the training period is provided along with all meals – this is usually for a period of one week
  • Transport provided from accommodation to training venue each day
  • Following completion of training, work placements are allocated where you will then become responsible for your own costs
