Laurence’s holiday

June was a busy month for one of our Live in Clients and his long-term carer! A trip to the seaside at Felixstowe, with fish and chips and ice-cream on the menu! Followed by a fabulous day out at Duxford Museum!

Our client, Laurence, has longed to jet off on a plane to enjoy a relaxing break after many years!

We haven’t quite booked the flight yet, but Enviva Live In Team have helped Laurence to organise a weeklong holiday for him and his friends this October to realise that we really can help to make wishes come true! We work alongside our clients, promoting independence and dedication to achieving their own goals!

International Nurses’ Day

International Nurses’ Day is marked every day on May 12th. This day celebrates the vital role of nurses in health care and recognises the difference nursing makes. The day co-incides with the birthday of Florence Nighingale, the pioneer of modern nursing. This year’s theme is the economic power of care which creates healthy people and societies and drives healthy economies – this is with the aim of reshaping perceptions and demonstrating how strategic investment in nursing can bring considerable economic and societal benefits. Everyone across Sonderwell, and the people we support and their families and carers, shares a huge thank you to the nurses who work across the organisation. The impact their work has on helping significantly contributes to improving people’s lives and we thank them for their hard work and dedication.

Enviva Client Guide

Enviva recently launched a new Client Guide for the people we support and their families and carers. The guide includes helpful information what people can except from their Enviva care package, where to source help, the team who will be supporting them as well as helpful guides on quality and communication.

New location for Sonderwell

Sonderwell recently marked a significant milestone for the organisation, the opening of our new Central Support Office. CEO John Lee said: “This is an important moment for us as we continue on our journey of providing the very best possible care and support to our clients, carers and colleagues. “It is particularly important because we have brought all of our central support team members from across the Group under one roof within one office where we all share one goal and mission – to empower the people we support to live the most fulfilling life they can. And having all of the central support functions in one place is a critical step in helping us achieve that mission. “Bringing our operations into one central location gives us more than just a physical space; it offers us a  place where we can share our values, dedication and passion for what we do. “We can share knowledge, resources and best practice more efficiently and through collaborating more closely, we can make sure that the expertise and experience we have within the talented team at Sonderwell is best used to help us provide the very best care we can.”
